What the print holds
The Pembrokeshire Coast Path on paper
This is a coastline that changes character three times, and the print makes the changes obvious. The north is severe — long cliffs from Cardigan down past Strumble Head with almost no shelter, and the line runs hard and unbroken. Round St David's Head it turns south and the coast begins to shatter into bays, so the line starts working: St Brides, Marloes, the islands offshore that the path looks at but cannot reach.
Then comes the interruption. Milford Haven is a deep-water estuary with an oil terminal in it, and the path goes miles inland to get around the Cleddau before coming back out to the south coast. On the sheet that detour is a long thin finger pointing east, and it is the single most recognisable feature of the whole print.
South of it the path settles again for the last run past Stackpole and Tenby to finish quietly at Amroth. The military range at Castlemartin shows as the place where the line has to move inland and then return.
It prints portrait because the county is taller than it is wide. At A3 the whole coast fits with the Haven's detour clear.

Good to know
Why does the path go so far inland in the middle?
Milford Haven. The Cleddau is a working deep-water estuary and the first crossing is well upstream, so the waymarked route follows the shore of it rather than pretending there is a way across.
Is the Castlemartin range section included?
The line drawn is the waymarked path including its inland alternative. The coastal option through the range is only open when firing allows, and the print does not imply access that may not exist on the day.
Does it join the Wales Coast Path?
It is part of it — the Pembrokeshire section is the oldest piece of what is now a much longer route. This print draws the National Trail rather than the whole Welsh coast.
I have not walked the whole thing. Can I still have it?
Yes. The print draws the Pembrokeshire Coast Path itself — the path as it is waymarked, end to end — with or without a walk of your own on it. People buy it before they set off as often as after.
Can it show my own walk instead?
