Gifts for Marathon Runners — The Race, Printed From Their Strava
A marathon runner already owns the medal, the T-shirt and the photograph with the bad timing. What they do not own is the day itself, drawn: the route by pace, the time set large, the splits, the climb. That is the print. Here is how to give it without touching their account.
If you know which race
Buy the Course Print for that race. It draws the official course on the city map, names the landmarks, marks every 5K, and carries their name, their time and the date. You need none of their data. The Course Print exists for the marathons whose course is mapped; the race page for London, Boston or Vienna links straight to it, and the marathons page shows the rest.
If you want the run itself on the print
That needs their Strava, which means a voucher. The gift voucher is a code for the price of a framed A3; they connect Strava in the Studio, the race is recognised from the run, and the print is drawn with their pace colouring, chip time and splits. The code pays at checkout. It arrives by email, so it works for tomorrow's birthday too.
The medal frame
The medal display frame is the gift for the runner whose medal is still in the race bag. A 12 × 16 in classic frame, two mounts, the 8 × 10 in print on one side and an aperture for the medal on the other, in black or navy. It takes the Marathon Print, the Race Day Print with their photograph, or the Photo Print alone. The medal frame guide has the measurements.

For a first marathon
The first is the one they will keep. Ask what the race was, buy the Course Print if it is mapped, and add a line for the dedication: the time, or the thing they said at the finish. If they have not run it yet, a voucher with a note saying "for after" is the gift that gets talked about at 20 miles.
Do I need to know their finish time?
No. The Course Print takes it if you have it; otherwise the print carries the race, the course and the date, and the time can stay off.
Can they change the print after I order?
A Course Print is made as you ordered it. A voucher lets them compose it themselves, so everything is theirs to decide.
What if the race is not one you recognise?
The Marathon Print still works from their own Strava run: any marathon, any year. A voucher is the way to give it.
