Search for it by name in the Studio — Cadair Idris, Skiddaw, the fell behind your house — and it arrives framed with the ground around it; the slider takes the frame wider or closer, and you can drag the print to move it. The named peaks — fourteen of them, each with a page of its own under Mountains — carry their surveyed height; a hill found by search is drawn the same way but printed without one, because a height on a poster should be the surveyed figure, not one read off the grid.

From public elevation data — Mapzen's Terrain Tiles on AWS Open Data, which join SRTM and national terrain models — traced into lines by the Studio as you frame the print. Nothing is drawn by hand or smoothed into a shape it does not have: a crag is dense because the ground is steep there.

The height printed beside a summit is the official surveyed one: Everest's from the 2020 China–Nepal survey, Mont Blanc's from the 2023 survey of its ice cap. Each named peak's position and height are checked against the terrain the print is drawn from, so the mark sits on the top of the mountain it names — even where, as with Tryfan, a taller neighbour shares the frame.

No. The Mountain Print is made from the mountain and your words alone. Your own line up it is not drawn on this print yet; the Summit silhouettes and Elevation prints draw the climbs you recorded.

A3 suits a single peak like the Matterhorn or Scafell Pike. A2 and A1 give a broad mountain — Fuji, Kilimanjaro, the Everest massif — room for the fine lines between the heavy ones.
